Weekly Update 1/2/2022
And so, another new year begins. The issues that I’d faced for the past few weeks have all been resolved, but not without more headaches and frustrations. But it’s in the past now, so I can go forward.
I did not go out on New Year’s Eve; I’m too old for that. And I have a lot of memories of New Year’s Eves from long ago. Some of those would be hard to beat, and some I’m glad I don’t have to re-live. As I may have mentioned before, holidays are not a big deal for me, but just another day. I did go out with friends to a very nice restaurant on New Year’s Day, I enjoyed being with friends. I also went out to breakfast with Kay Sunday morning.
For all my records from 2021, I was able to print them and/or save them to a stick. I filed away old financial paperwork, and cleaned the desk to be ready for another year. I created new folders on my laptop for the coming year. I hope I’m prepared, but who knows.
I made myself a calendar to keep track of birthdays and holidays. I’ve done that for several years. But it is not nearly as wonderful as the amazing calendar I received from Adrian. What a great surprise to receive that!
The Bills beat the Falcons. But, if Matt Ryan hadn’t been an idiot, it would have been a lot closer. Since Atlanta is “regional coverage”, and since my tv is now connected to cable once again, and not the horrible streaming experience I’ve had lately, I was able to watch the game. That was a treat for me, and made me realize that, although I may pay a lot for the service, I appreciate having the channels I want.
Happy New Year! And thanks for showcasing our favorite month!
