Update 6/24/2018
Not
a busy week. I Got Some Things Done: I picked up new batteries for
my hearing aids at the Beltone Center. I got more bagels for the
first time in many months, I’ve been hungry for them. I had the
tires rotated on the car. I met with the financial adviser I have
here in Savannah - nothing major, just a few things have changed, and
I wanted to inform him, and also, I want to keep a relationship with
him. I try to stop in for a meeting every year or so. I went to
Laurel Grove Cemetery, because it was on the news that the City has
“hired” goats to keep the weeds manageable. I didn’t see them,
but I think they are in the gully behind the cemetery, not near
Juliet Gordon’s Low’s family plot. I watched some World Cup. I read. I went to a lecture at the
TLC. I tried to do a tour at BC, but it was a no show. I went to
the pool a few times. But overall, a boring week.
One
interesting thing I did, and I also read about this on the news app
that I check daily, was to attend a Longest Day ceremony for
Alzheimer's awareness. Purple balloons were released, and it was
amazing to watch them float up to the beautiful clouds in the sky.
The whole thing took less than 15 minutes, but many people were at
Lake Mayer to remember loved ones.
This week we left Bandera and spent two days in San Angelo,where we toured old Fort Concho and visited friends. Then on to Taos for two days with sister Dianne and her sig other Marty. Now at Will's in Boulder. He took us to a really nice dinner for late Mother's and Father's Day. TOday we drove through Rocky National Park and then on the way back when we stopped for lunch Will had another grand mal seizure. He fell on the floor and cut his eye but otherwise is sore and not thinking well but is ok. He says that is the norm when he has a seizure. We may stay longer here.
ReplyDeleteI am a bit shook up but trying to stay busy while will rests. I see I did not proofread well but you can figure out I meant Rocky Mountain National Park. I will email you a few pix I took
ReplyDeleteHe had a second big one last night - we were to leave tomorrow are canceling our plans and staying here at least through his neurology appt which he got fro tomorrow (Wed) at 11.
