Update 5/14/2017
Not
my favorite time of year. It's a reminder that I'm getting older.
But I made it through ok. Thanks to all who remembered.
Monday
was book club. We read The Guineveres, by Sarah Domet. She
is a local author, and I'd attended a book signing several months
ago. I suggested to the librarian that Ms. Domet might be available
to come speak to the book club, and she agreed. It was the best
attendance we've had in a long time, and a very interesting
discussion.
But
there were no other lectures to go to all week, again.
Wednesday
is my regular rummikub night at June and Jimmy's condo. Jimmy's
birthday was that day, and June baked a delicious lemon cheesecake
birthday cake for us both.
On
Sunday, Mother's Day, I gave a Second Sunday Tour at BC. It was made
special because Kay brought her two aunts, who are visiting from UK
to the tour. I not only enjoyed meeting them, but also was glad to
be able to share some of the wonderful history of Savannah with them.
Looking good for your (ok OUR) age!

ReplyDeleteThat was a great suggestion for your book club. Our monthly book, Thelonious Rising, is really well written and we are going to see if we we can go together to hear her at a nearby book talk.
