Weekly Update 5/28/2017

Rain was forecast for all week, so Jane and I decided that rather than go someplace for a walk, we would go to the Jepson to view the latest exhibits. I had not attended the lecture of William Wegman when that exhibit opened, and I wanted to see it. Jane had not seen the Kahlil Gibran collection that was shown a couple of years ago, and she wanted to see that. How well that worked out! (note: the William Wegman videos that were part of the exhibit are a hoot! You can search youtube and see some of the wonderful, funny, inspired videos he has posted there. It's worth watching!)

I went to an interesting lecture at TLC about The Internet of Things. Fascinating, but it seems as if I'm going to be left even further behind than I already am! I also went to the SCT presentation of Mary Poppins the Musical. Delightful as always.

On Sunday, I went to Wormsloe Historic Site because the War Of Jenkins Ear was to be commemorated. The joke was on me, because there were lots of cars and people, but no re-enactors, and no exhibits. Wormsloe is always lovely, so it wasn't a wasted trip.

  1. I always love seeing that entrance to Wormsloe. It is such a lovely historic site. We had fun hosting Katherine and her girlfriend Casey this weekend. Katherine mentioned that in a couple years she wants to visit Savannah and take Avery to see the area.
