Weekly Update 10/8/2017

This has been a week in hell. Nothing has gone right. All week.

I have fought with so many people and organizations.   I've battled with the condo management (that's on-going), Comcast (those idiots have not protected my privacy rights, and don't care), and even the police (briefly - a silly story).

The only thing I did that was constructive all week was to buy a new vacuum cleaner.  Not to let me even enjoy that, I was cleaning and I broke one of my two Lefton figurines. These were given to me and my brother from our grandmother decades ago, just before she died.  She's been dead for over 60 years; Tom's been dead for 40 years.  These are not valuable antiques, but they mean the world to me.  And I broke one.  Well, lesson learned - I won't be cleaning any more.

I also had a bottle of Skin So Soft, which I take with me on my tours at BC because it can be used as an insect repellent, leak all over the passenger seat in my car.  That's oily and will leave a big stain.

And the Bills lost a game they should have won.

That's pretty much how the whole week went.

And there was a full moon and incredibly high tides.  So at least I have a picture of that.

  1. Sometimes weeks are like that! It was a unfortunate/fortunately week for us too. Unfortunately, Our truck broke down - but fortunately the dealership gave us a loaner and the truck was repaired before it was time for us to leave the DFW area. Unfortunately Hurricane Nate came onshore not too far from our home base, but fortunately, Gulf Shores suffered not too much flooding and damage. Unfortunately, the beautiful pier will need repairs and some of our friends will need repairs to their beachfront homes, but fortunately there was no damage in our village. Avery went to NOLA to be best girl at her father's wedding. She was due back to her mother's last night so I hope she made it. We have not heard. We are now in Fredericksburg for a week and I am thinking fondly of our trip to that area!
