Update 1/3/2021
Buffalo had two great wins this week! They beat New England on Monday night, and Miami on Sunday afternoon. Play offs – here we come. I really really wanted to go to the bar today to watch the games, but decided that since I’ve been able to get this far through the season without going for wings and a Miller Lite, I could probably do one more week. It wasn’t worth the risk. And it did not matter to the outcome of any of the games. I hope that next year, I won’t have to make these choices. Now I can take this off my refrigerator.
There was another visit from a food truck at AP this week. I got a brisket bowl, and it was pretty good. I like that I don’t have to go into my kitchen whenever a food truck is scheduled. One of the presents that Ishy sent for under my Christmas tree was a nutcracker jigsaw puzzle. When I put all my holiday decorations back in storage, I was going to put it in the box and get it out next year. But I opened it and I’m working on it. I may be working on it until next Christmas!
On New Year’s Eve, I didn’t do anything. I stayed up until midnight, but I’m ALWAYS up at midnight, so that wasn’t a big deal. Someone was shooting off fireworks, and I think they might have been in the parking lot by building 20, They didn’t last long, and I have an idea that someone from management got over there and told them to knock it off. Kay came over on New Year’s Day, and we sat on the porch, sipped wine, ate snacks, and talked. I am one of the many who is delighted that 2020 is over. But, as always, be careful what you wish for.
You made it to 2021 and that is good. We didn't do anything either, although Avery insisted on waiting up to watch the big ball drop in an almost empty Times Square and we told her about how we went to Times Square for New Year's Eve once a very long time ago. She thought that was cool and she said she wants to go to NYC when it is safe again.
